I just received the Body Solid Multi press rack (GPR370) last week.Body Solid Multi-Press Rack GPR370I purchased it through Amazon from the Fitness Factory and it was listed as a demo repackaged for sale (discounted as such). The rack came in two heavy boxes with extensive directions for assembly as well as a fitness guide. I assembled it myself in about an hour. No issues- instructions are very clear and there are plenty of pictures. The repackaged rack was in excellent condition.As assembled it looks great and it is rock solid. You can easily bolt it to the floor if necessary. I used it (tested it) for standard bench pressing and squatting there is plenty of space in the rack. Re-racking after a squat was not a problem as the bar holders on each upright easily trap the bar (Olympic size, ~ 7ft long). I’m over 6 ft tall and installed it in a basement with very little over head space. The rack takes up a ~7X8′ area (74″H x 45″L x 64″W) with bar and bench positioned for a work out. I love it!

I am an intermediate lifter, under 300lbs on any lift. With a lack of real gyms in my area I decided to invest in home equipment and take care of myself once and for all. I looked at a lot of options in power racks and decided to go with the Body Solid after reading the reviews, researching various racks, and doing some price checks. The reviews here all capture the finer points so this is really just a summary. Overall, I love it and it is working fine for me.This thing is rock solid- absolutely no need to bolt it to the floor.Any issues I read about in the reviews about racking the bar is due to inexperience. The bar hooks are perfectly spaced, strong, and numerous.The directions are poor, but it’s really only a few pieces and pretty easy to see how it goes together. All the parts were there for me.I’m too tall (6’2″) for comfortable pull ups on this thing, but I have a pull up bar already. The pull up is not integrated naturally into this rack like some larger power racks. You can just throw a bar on and go at it if it suits you.The numbers on the side are silicone stickies that are covered in plastic to protect them during delivery. As soon as I pulled the plastic off, the numbers came with it. I just peeled them off and pushed them back on the frame. I don’t expect them to last long.The spotting arms are easily (perhaps too easily) removed and adjustable. No thoughtful lifter should find himself in a place to need them, but worst case scenario they will hold out. The rubber padding on each arm is backed with a sticky adhesive that isn’t great.I do agree that an extra weigh peg on each side would be ideal, but not imperative.If you are not a professional lifter looking to drop 1000lbs of weight as you scream at the Viking gods, this is an awesome rack. It’s for holding weight. It does it.

I was hesitant on purchasing this machine due to the price and I already own a Deltech Smith Machine. I have been working on free weights the past few months with dumbbells and there’s no replacement for feeling the push of free weights so I decided on this as a bday gift for myself (w/ the wifes blessing of course, lol).The setup was straight forward, quality is very solid just a level above your typical budget line home gym equipment (apex, powerline, valor etc).Its such a crucial piece of equipment that I believe its worth the investment if you’re on a budget and cant afford the commercial level stuff.Its heavy duty enough where you know you have a legit enough equipment to get serious. The racking will take some getting use to if you’re new to lifting, but the safety bars makes a difference when you want to push hard!I was surprise to see how the stickers were easily peeling off, otherwise, I am happy w this purchase ($660 w tax, free shipping). This was a sale price, but I would not pay more than this and go with a power rack if I had to spend it. Comparing to other multipress machines in the market and keeping w Body Solids reputation, its priced right at $600-700.Overall great buy, and ready to level up in my gym game!***Update 2 weeks after: I had a chance to work out with this equipment for several sessions now and have upgraded my rating from a 4 to a 5! Its is probably the best gym equipment Ive ever owned for chest, shoulder and squats! Ive owned smith machines, power racks and those powertec machines, i just enjoy working out with this much more can see how it can improve my workouts! Im can’t wait to see the results after several months and yes, for those less experienced w gym equipment, it will take you some time getting used to putting the bar back correctly but i have no issues. It built solid, safety catch makes it feel more safe to push heavy weights!
