   We are always looking for storage solutions and this weight rack has fit in decently well. Assembly takes a minute, but not too terrible and it feel relatively stable and solid on completion…with exception to the side basket and hooks. If you use these for nothing more than lightweight gear, you should be alright, but we have an XL, thick and heavy yoga mat that caused sagging and strain by itself. The hooks and basket just seem a little to weak for anything more than lightweight items. That’s fine, because the main rack seems to be able to handle plenty of weight, with exception to the wheels, which are cheap casters that do not roll terribly smoothly. Upgrade the wheels and support the basket and this would be 5-star worthy.

   Had a sturdy yet smaller weight rack before the collection of dumbbells and general equipment grew to the point of outgrowing it. This is a larger system, and holds far more.Assembly was slightly annoying since aligning the bolts was sometimes a guessing game to get it in there. One of the short “dowels” used for the basket broke during assembly — it seems that instead of a solid metal dowel that is counter-sunk on the ends and then tapped, they shoddily welded the bolt’s receiving piece on the inside of the tube, and that inside weld did not hold and broke off. I was able to kind of “jam it back in” as best I could, and since the basket is only holding lighter weight items in it, it’s working (so far at least). That was a disappointment though.I like that it can roll (my prior smaller unit did not), and that the wheels lock to avoid inadvertent rolling. As of now it’s having no problem holding (2) 40 lb. dumbbells, (2) 8 lb. dumbbells for my wife, (2) 5 lb. dumbbells for the kids, (2) medicine balls (one 8 lbs. one 10 lbs.), and (1) kettlebell that I believe is somewhere in the 40-50 lb. range, along with various other equipment that is lighter weight, like a step & 4 risers, calf lift machine, folding padded mat, foam back roller, etc. etc.The old rack was better for holding plates, but we don’t have much in the way of those. A couple of adjustable weight dumbbells, a few set-weight lighter dumbbells, an adjustable weight kettlebell, and the medicine balls, cover most of the non-machine-based (free weights) equipment that we use. The other equipment in the exercise room consists of things like a home gym system, a treadmill, etc. that of course this doesn’t do anything for.The size of this is great, the quality iffy at times, but for us the ability to hold more outweighed (pun not intended) the better quality and slightly sturdier smaller unit that we were using prior. Ideally I’d give this a 3.5 star rating, but I’ll round up to 4.
