These are very typical 18″ wraps. Offer firm/medium support for press style lifts and are also comfortable enough to wear for a whole work out. The thumb loop is bulky and robust and doesn’t feel like it’s going to get overly stretched out or fail, like I’ve seen with other wraps.Only complaint is that the soft (loop) side of the velcro on the wrap isn’t very big. If you have meaty, thick wrists then this won’t be a problem. But if not, or you just like to go really tight, you run out of loop velcro space fast. The good/bad thing is, is that the hook portion at the end of the wrap actually adheres to the fabric of the wrap itself pretty good, so even if you only catch an inch or two of velcro, they lock down…..BUT….that will eventually cause the wrap to fray or weaken over time quicker.

I’ve been lifting with the same wrist wraps that I use for muai thai training until I saw these pop up in my recommendations, being a fan of Ronin Wrap products in the past. These actually streamline the process of getting them on and off instead of dealing with yards of cotton and stabilize my wrists with less give. Think of them as an abdominal belt but for all those tendons in your hands that will always lag behind muscle growth and be susceptible to inflammation. These simple but effective wraps will encourage good form, keep you injury-free and consistently focused on progression.

I’m new to weightlifting and I’ve had some pain in different parts of my arms that I’ve never before experienced (not muscle soreness, definitely tendon pain) so I’ve been using a few things at the gym that I always thought were just “for show” when other guys would wear them at the gym, but now I see how they have a real purpose. I have some arm wraps too. I decided to get these wrist wraps to help with my seemingly narrow wrists compared to most guys. They do a great job overall. My only complaints are that they are kind of thick and long so they wrap several times around my wrist, which I think is normal, but might be too much for me. I had to watch a video about how to use wrist wraps to make sure I was putting them on correctly including using the thumb loops. I like to wear my Apple watch during lifts to track my heart rate and calories, but with these wraps on properly, I really need to take off my watch or just wrap these over my watch. They have a little bit of a sour odor right out of the package (kind of that new fabric sour smell) but I’m guessing that will go away when I wash them. Overall I’d recommend these from the primary standpoint of providing good wrist support during heavy lifts, but just be aware that they are thick and long – not “low profile.”

So I’ve been using these for the past week and a half lifting heavy – I actually beat a few PR’s – and I have zero pain to show for it. I used to always get wrist pain doing my presses and would be afraid to lift heavy. So far so good with these wrist wraps. They feel good, look nice, and most importantly, they give the necessary support I need for my lifts.
