The bench started out sturdy and very versatile for multiple exercises. Sadly, after nearly daily, moderate use, the back pad is unstable. I bought this in hopes that it would take the place of another unstable bench. But it just turned into one bench itself. Disappointed that so many of these benches aren’t built better. For the money these cost you would think there’s enough in the cost to warrant decent quality.

I bought this model primarily because of it’s wide feet and little longer length from seat-to-seat back corner – to top of seat back. I use it on a thick rug, and I am pleased to report it is very solid – no rocking side to side as you get on and off. Also I’m 6’3″ and the seat and seat back dimensions fit me fine. It has among its seat back positions a flat position, a 30 degree incline position, and a decline position, all 3 of which I mainly use. Feels well made, with good looking welds. Cushions very firm, which I like in a workout bench, yet soft enough for my old knees. I wish it had push pins that engage both sides of the frame tube like the “big boys” at the gym, but at this price I’m very satisfied with it.

Is it perfect? No. Is there a negative that stands out to complain about? Also No.I’m 6′ tall. I do not need the detachable headrest, and actually found the *detachable* headrest to impede triceps extentions. This was well packaged and easy to assemble. Directions were lacking some detail, nothing I couldn’t easily figure out. Bench is solid, stable, and comfortable., easy to set up and light enough to easily move around. Folding it up and *latching* it takes an uncalled-for effort, I believe the holes for the locking pin are slightly misplaced.I would give this product 4 stars for design and function; I’m adding an additional star because it’s a ridiculously good value at its price of around $150 (and I got a discount coupon at the time of purchase.) For the crowd looking for a functional home bench this is worth a hard look.

This bench is very sturdy, the length will handle 5’11 and well over easily. The ease of putting it together was nice with minimal time to assemble maybe 15 minutes. Taking it out of the box is harder because it is package so well nothing will damage it, not even when they toss it sound on there truck to deliver. Don’t use anything sharp to open so you don’t cut the pad. Nice and comfortable, price is perfect and you would have to pay another 50 to find one like this quality. I go to the gym regularly and can tell ya it meets all my needs and not too high off the ground so even short people can have there feet touch when laying on it.
