I did a lot of research before purchasing this weight rack. My primary need was to be able to stack weights for doing bench press in my home gym. My criteria was to have something sturdy that was safe for me to use without tipping over if I added a lot of weight. Since I work out by myself without a spot, safety is really one of my primary objectives when getting a weight rack. I typically bench less than 200 pounds. This rack handles all of those weights just fine. One of my favorite parts is the safety spotter arms which allow me to max out reps without getting stuck not being able to re-rack the weight. It has saved me a few times when I didn’t have the strength to put the weight back on the rack and there was no one around to lift it for me. There are probably more sturdy racks that you can get, but from a footprint and value standpoint this is a solid purchase.
