I am very pleased with my purchase. I upgraded from an older bench with no preacher curl. This bench is very solid, and comfortable to use. I have already recommended to a friend and he ordered one as well. The only thing that somewhat is negative is when preacher pad is out there is still a post that sticks up but I realize it’s needed for the support and does not take long to remember it’s there. Everything else is great. I would buy it again. Especially for the price compared to other benches out there this one deserves a big thumbs up

In the past 18 months I have had 12 different benches, Most of them benches I’ve reviewed for Amazon.How does this stack up?T e Good:The pad is slightly above average for a bench in this price range.Overall pretty sturdy, but I certainly would not put me (200 lbs) plus another 600 lbs on the bar (to total the 800) and trust this bench. In all reality if you are benching over 225 you probably already have a serious bench and are looking at this only as a second bench, If you are a 225 bencher I do not recommend this as your primary bench.Preacher Curl pad: to me this is the biggest thing about this bench, I personally believe cable curls using a preacher bench is the top bicep exercise you can do, this will work for that. The pad has a few angle adjustments and can give you a good variety of angles, It does come with two options for angling the pad, a removeable pin or a fixed bolt, I personally found my best angle and am using the fixed bolt, the pin allows a little wobble.The footrest pad is still the cheap foam that most use, only this one is “slightly’ better quality (slightly denser) than others I have gotten in this price range.Few Minor cons:When you remove the preacher pad you still have the support post sticking up, unlike my other bench in photo 1 that shows them both. With that support post sticking up, you guys will have to use some caution when jumping on this thing to crank out a few flat presses. Really a poor design in my opinion.The backrest adjustment, while this one is pretty good, I do prefer the one that can be adjusted by one hand or one foot, See comparisons between photo 2 and photo 3Side note: the hardware was all scattered and loose in the box, which had a few holes in the corners, I was short two bolts, Fortunately I have drawers full (you can actually see one of my replacement bolts in the first picture)Overall if you are ok with the nuances of this bench then it should be a good bench, For me I am only using it for cable preacher curls and if I see one that does not have the post sticking up I will replace this one.
