This was easy to modify for using it for bowflex 1090 dumbbells. I wasn’t sure if it would work with them, but it did. I keep the wheels off of the rack, but I don’t need it to be mobile. This was well under half the price of an official Bowflex rack. It’s sturdy and effective. Great buy.

I got this for my Bowflex 552 dumbbells. I liked the price….much better than the Bowflex stand and after reading the reviews I was confident this would work for my 552’s.Assembly was very simple. The only hitch was the included hardware used to attach the base of the 552’s did not work…not a fit. I’m sure one of the reviews explained this but I very quickly figured out that all I had to do was remove the 4 bottom round corner pads that each use 1 screw and I just had to re-purpose those screws to make the attachment for each dumbbell platform to the stand platforms. Worked perfectly…just have to carefully line up the holes which do in fact line up…just takes a good eye and careful positioning.Stand is very solid and I love the wheels that lock. The dumbbells are firmly attached and will not fall off. Great price!! Wish I got this sooner! Would highly recommend for the 552’s….not sure how they work for other dumbbells but they are adjustable for different makes.

When I bought my Bowflex 552/1090 adjustables, I contemplated purchasing the stand with the same brand. But it is a bit steep ($$$) for my liking, plus I didn’t need the tablet holder. So after browsing and searching, I found these Altler stands at almost half the price. It was easy to assemble and the platforms can be installed either parallel or slightly slanted (forward edge lower) to the floor. I decided to not install the wheels, because on a rubber topped EVA foam flooring, the wheels will sink to a certain extent. If I need to move the stand, I will simply remove the 552s/1090s.Each platform will support 90 lbs as per the capacity stated in the manual. Some have stated the height should be higher, but for me being a short guy, the height is just right. The cradles for the 552/1090 were mounted on the stand by removing the screws and rubber feet under each cradle. Then simply reusing the screw and washer to install the cradle (without the rubber feet) onto the platforms of the stand. It is best to install the cradles on the platforms prior to installing the platforms onto the stand frame.

I bought this product for my bowflex adjustable dumbbells. I was able to securely mount the dumbbells quickly. I haven’t had any issues with the bases coming loose from the stand. The build quality is good. No issues with weight capacity if the dumbbells.

First of all, I think the quality is excellent at the price-point. I like the locking wheels and assembly was easy, with included wrenches that were useable but slow-I used a 14mm box end wrench and a 13mm ratchet wrench for speed of assembly. There are numerous holes for mounting different brands of weights, but none of them came close to lining up on the bases of the Pro-Form weights. Also my bases were not threaded for the threaded knobs, so I used a M6x1.0 speed tap on my holes. I then made a pattern with a couple sheets of paper and used a pencil to trace each of the holes, then used a hardened punch to mark each of the hole locations on the mounting plates once I centered the pattern. To allow for errors in my tracing I used a progression of increasing drill bits, 3/8” final hole size. After I did the modification the plates fit nicely as you can see in the last picture.
