Very good value for the money. I would actually give this 4.5 stars as it has some minor flaws. This holds a lot of weight. I have ten 45s on the bottom rung and 25s, 10s and 5s on the two upper rungs. I can fit two more 45s on the bottom rung for 12 total. That’s 540 pounds just in 45s which if you work out alone is probably more than you will ever need.Construction is sturdy for the price and assembly took less than 15 minutes. Now for the negatives. The posts do NOT have pre-drilled holes so you have to center it yourself. There is about 8″ on each side if centered properly but the posts tend to shift while tightening so it’s tough to get dead center. No biggie though. Also, the bar holders won’t really work with 45s on the bottom unless you space them away from the upright post. Otherwise the plates are too close to allow the bar to fit in. This is not important to me but you should be aware of it.I always thought plate trees should be designed so that you can fit 45s on any post. This one does not allow that. However since it holds 12 on the bottom it’s enough for just about anybody. Also you can put 45s on the top and bottom if you don’t install the middle post. That will give you 24 45s. Unless you are a Mr. Olympia contestant you will have no need for that much capacity.

I don’t often review on Amazon but I did a lot of research prior to investing in this particular weight tree and thought my experience might help out someone else looking to purchase. To date I am very satisfied with this purchase. It is currently housing close to 450 lbs. of Olympic sized plates plus my triceps and EZ curl bars. I have no issue with plate arrangement or them fitting on this tree. I have (2) 35’s on lower left peg, (4) 45’s on lower right, (6) 10’s on middle left, (4) 25’s on middle right, (6) 5’s on upper left and (4) 2.5’s on upper right. The construction is solid – no play or wobble to the tree once fully loaded. It is true that the plate holding pegs are kept in place with a tension screw (and not socketed into a hole), but if it’s screwed in tight enough I cannot ever envision the pegs moving. It took me about a half hour to put this together, all of the pieces were wrapped and all of the hardware accounted for. Again, thoroughly happy with this purchase. There are some other more expensive weight trees out there but I this really is the sensible option – especially given that it can house 2 Olympic sized bars. Highly recommended.
