If you have a door frame that you can’t screw into, this works well.You need to tighten it to the point that it seems like it will damage the frame (which it won’t), and then it holds weight just fine.

Super easy to install; can handle a lot of weight, but that should be a given. Of course, that depends on how you install it, which is something you shouldn’t mess up if you have enough brain cells. I have this in my dorm doorway, and the door can stay closed with it installed. It certainly functions as a pull-up bar.
